Single sign on options

Just picking up from the discussion on SSO earlier, @liam @chris, the WP Oauth server plugin (https://wp-oauth.com) looks to my eye to potentially be the simple solution, negating the need for additional servers, and potentially avoiding the whole question about whether Civi would sit happily with authentication being provided by a third party system outside of WP.
Having said that I don’t know if the free version will do what’s needed, or as seems increasingly to be case in the WP world, we’d need to buy the pro version.
To my eye it at least feels like the obvious first option to trial given the zero overhead involved in getting it running.

That sounds good to me, I have installed the free version of the plugin:

wp plugin install oauth2-provider
Installing WP OAuth Server (OAuth Authentication) (4.2.3)
Downloading installation package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/oauth2-provider.4.2.3.zip...
Unpacking the package...
Installing the plugin...
Plugin installed successfully.
Success: Installed 1 of 1 plugins.

@liam could you have a look at it to see if it looks like it’ll do the job?

The PRO version is $89 USD for one site and comes with support, if it’ll do everything we need then it would probably be worth buying it:

Thanks Chris,

Will take a look and see what it can do.

From first glance it does seem that we would need to pay for the pro edition to get unlock it’s potential but certainly try out the free edition.

Will update once I’ve had a go.
