The Future Co-ops conference is back on the 31st Jan - 1st February. We will be focusing on the government’s ambitious pledge to double the size of the co-operative sector. See more on the Co-operative Futures website
We know that not everyone will be able to attend but we really want to get input from a wide range of co-operators.
We’ve had opportunities like this before, but what worked, and what didn’t? Alternative models like CICs, employee ownership, and the mutualisation agenda were an opportunity for co-ops, but we missed the boat. Why? The sector has also had some success over the years such as the Co-op Enterprise Hub, the More than a Pub campaign, and the growth of community shares.
What are your main lessons from the past? What has supported the growth of worker co-ops and what has hindered it? Please comment below and we are gathering these comments for our opening session at the conference!
