About the session
Want to connect, learn and get support from other worker cooperators with similar challenges? Join this peer network.
workers.coop offers a range of peer networks, all following a similar format.
- Space on our forum to post questions and share information
- Regular events whether online or in-person for more focused connecting and learning with others.
‘Socially-just’ Pay: Peer-Networking Session this Thursday 12 December 12-1pm.
- Is flat pay fair?
- Should parents get paid more?
- Can wages redress class, racial and gender inequalities?
- What is ‘emergency pay’ for housing/healthcare?
In this online lunchtime peer-networking session we will learn about and discuss the ways in which co-ops can recognise workers’ different needs and backgrounds through waging systems.
Fateha McDaniel from Cooperation Town will share with us her cooperative’s new ‘socially just pay’ policy. There will then be an opportunity to ask questions and for other worker cooperators to share their own experiences and thoughts about pay policies. What are the different options and how can we implement them?
