Quick update on our situation at Stirchley Co-operative Development (SCD)

At this point seven of our residents are homeless, our businesses are still facing insolvency (loaf has estimated significant losses), we have no residential/commercial contracts to move in, and we suspect that building will achieve practical completion this week.
In positive news - we held a protest for community ownership this week that had 300+ come out in less than 48 hours and that was featured on BBC Midlands today (with a feature from Richard Parker). We also met with BCC and they said theyd do the best to work with us and our MP last week (Al Carns) and he has said that he will reach out to Angela Rayner/Matthew Pennycook on our behalf.
All this said - we are running against the clock and trying to urgently put public pressure on GreenSquareAccord, WMCA, Birmingham City Council and the new Labour government to protect this community revitalisation project.
