Job title: Stock Control and Logistics Lead

Hours per week: 8 (days of week flexible but Wednesday preferred)

Wage: Flat wage, Β£13.45 per hour Location: Sumac Centre, Nottingham

Role description: Veggies stock control and logistics lead is responsible for ensuring general operational tasks around the Sumac Center are completed, particularly in regards to maintaining stock for the office, burger mixes and the shop. They will work closely with other team members to support them with operational needs and keep Veggies running like a well oiled machine.

Tasks include:

● Liaise with Event Coordinator and Mail Order Lead to ensure necessary stock is ordered

● Manage shop shelves (arrange stock, order new stock when needed)

● Complete annual stock take

● Making burger mixes for events and mail orders alongside the mail order lead.

● Assist with onsite tasks such as event preparation and sorting equipment and stock back into the sumac centre after away events.

● Organising and maintaining equipment used for events

● Assisting with licensing, insurance and certifications

● Assisting with the reviewing and updating of policies and procedures

About veggies:

We are a fully vegan catering campaign based at the Sumac Centre in Nottingham. We are a worker cooperative, meaning there is not a β€˜boss’ - instead we make decisions collaboratively as a team. We offer catering services to festivals, gatherings and activist demos around the midlands, which is run by our amazing volunteer crew. ● Identifies as a vegan and has a commitment to sharing the vegan message in a friendly and positive way

● Able to commute to the Sumac Centre

● Willing to learn by β€˜doing’ and eager to get stuck in

● Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, Canva (or other design tools), social media (Instagram and Facebook)

● Would enjoy joining the volunteer crew at events and occasionally helping the team with cooking and baking

● Proactive problem solver who is happy to work alongside team members rather than under an authority, as well as taking initiative independently

● Good communication and interpersonal skills
